FACILITIES MANAGER
Grade 10, Points 23-26 (£31,134 - £34,734 per annum)
37 hours per week – all year round (working shifts)

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and suitably experienced facilities manager to join our premises team. This is an important and varied role with responsibility for the provision of high quality maintenance and security of the college site so that students, staff, community users and visitors have a safe, compliant, clean and well-maintained environment in which to work and learn.
You will be responsible for the operational day to day management of the site, ensuring maximum utilisation of college resources including premises, facilities, plant, equipment and materials. You will also provide sound and expert site management advice to the senior leadership team. Key working relationships will be with the Headteacher, Operations Manager, LIFE MAT H&S Lead and Hub Estates Lead.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good organisation and practical skills, a positive work ethic and a commitment to health and safety matters. You will have sound knowledge of current and relevant health and safety legislation, along with maintenance procedures and skills. It is essential that you are literate, numerate, IT proficient and able to lead and manage premises and cleaning team members and when required, contractors.
Hours of work are 37 per week, 52 weeks per year, covering a 3 week shift pattern to meet the operational needs of the college, including cover for other shifts as/when required.
Current team shifts are: 6am-2pm, 8am-4pm, 2pm-10pm (Monday to Thursday), with 6pm finish on Friday.
(Two weeks 8am – 4pm and one week 2pm – 10pm.)
