CASUAL SWIMMING TEACHER
(Swim England Level 2)
To cover sickness/holidays –
Grade 7, point 11 £15.09 per hour (enhanced rate)
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Swimming Teacher to provide cover during staff sickness and holiday periods. The role will include teaching daytime curriculum, primary schools and our Learn to Swim Scheme. If you’re passionate about teaching swimming and enjoy working with swimmers of all ages and abilities, this flexible role could be perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality swimming lessons following established lesson plans
• Adapt teaching to suit varying age groups and skill levels
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants in the pool
• Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere in the classroom and pool
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and other colleagues as required
Requirements:
• Recognized Swimming Teacher qualification (e.g. Swim England Level 2)
• Experience teaching children and/or adults in a pool environment
• Current and valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable and flexible availability to cover short-notice bookings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Poolside safety awareness and basic first aid knowledge
